Reflection

                 Reflection of film opening

Well, all good things come to an end. This journey was amazing and even tho im sad it's over im glad it happened

Through out everything i've learned so many things. I gave the script a good amount of comedy with action which made me so proud and once I saw the product of the opening I was so proud of it.

The thing we struggled the most with is time management, all of our team was always busy and had to cancel plans to film it. We filmed it all in one day and it was easy because me and one of my partner have experience with our practice from STN which has a competition where you plan, edit, and shoot all in 8 hours so it went pretty quick!

My team mate Gustavo had gave me a lot of inspiration through out the entire process, he has such an amazing eye for things and im glad i've learned from him. On the other hand, kiarmary also taught me other things like how to keep calm during filming. I was stressed at some points during the filming, but she calmed me down with her good attitude.

I wouldn't say it was a load of work with the CCRs and everything that came with the film opening because I really enjoy using my creativity and showing it to others. This was really fun and im excited to take the second level of this class.

POST PRODUCTION CCR

                         CCR post production

The first video took a long time to edit since it had more shots and more sequences. The audio also kept messing up so that was also slowing me down. I edited the entire thing in 3 hours total, but I had fun making this entire video.

In the video above you can see the timeline and as you see there are many clips and audios in there that took a while to put together and make a fun piece of work.

Second CCR video

For this one it was much easier, I changed my idea and made it into a news segment. There were less amount of clips in the video so it took me about an hour to finish. something that held up the time was the introduction video because I had to color grade it and also just make it look like a fun introduction.

CCR questions 1 and 2 script

                          Done with first part

GUYS! I finished writing for the first video and tried to make it fun and engaging. My friend Megan

is going to be the bad character and she's also helping me film!

Weirdly, this is the only photo I have.

Here is the script.

Script for tmr

(Megan takes off the bag)

Megan: So… how did you change stereotypes

Bella: IM NOT TELLING YOU ANYTHING

Megan; Oh really (PULL OUT THE BROCCLI)

Bella: (shook as frick)

(MEGAN SMILES PUTTING BROCCOLI IN MOUTH)

Bella: i surrender.. Okay so I made a girl the main character of a action film

Megan: Tell me more…

Bella: NO NO let me- (looks up slowly)

Megan: thats right im going to drink from your water bottle… and im NOT gonna waterfall

Bella: NOOOOO

Megan: exactly baby boo. Tell me.

Bella: okay well first i thought of the most famous action movies. Marvel (insert of me looking at photos)

Bella: then i saw every superhero or main characters are mostly men and if its a woman like black widow they always end up corny or just sexualized

Megan; Hey computer give this woman a true ( siri saying here you go) (ding)

Bella : Yeah so i made my main character a little clumsy and fun just like the men superheroes

Megan; Well well well how would you keep your audience engaged now that you’ve changed some things.

Bella: enough with the questions.

(megan pulls out broccoli)

Bella: Okay fine. Most people who watch action movies are guys and they love comedy (insert of my brother watching movie with me laughing)

Bella: I added comedy in the begging then in between i added some nice mise-en-scene with colors  and a chasing scene towards the end of the opening since its an ACTION MOVIE and guys like that roughness

Megan: AYO

Bella; Not like that.

Megan: 2 more questions or else ill put the brocoli IN YOUR WATER.

(bella scared face)

Megan: How are you distributing this.

Bella: sigh, The most helpful one would be posters and they would be sold to fans. Typically, the target audience hang up posters and collect merchandise.

Megan: And what else….

Bella: You know the comedy part i talked about?

Megan; yes

Bella: Well, if i put the actors in snl and jimmy fallon it will bring more people to the film since it is half comedy.

Megan: huh, wow so it wasnt hard.

Bella: yeah can you let me go..

Megan: not after you eat this broccoli

Bella: NOOOOO (brocoli in mouth)

THE END

Im also planing to post this to my media account for colleges!

CCR 4

                            CCR Question 4

For the sound I used an app called epidemic sounds, this app helps you find any non copyrighted songs. With that we are using an app called adobe premiere to edit our entire film opening. Adobe premiere has a lot of things that help the film opening look pleasing, for example it doesn't lower the quality of our video and has color grading which fixes the colors in the film to look good.

              Steam Workshop::Low Quality Meme Effect
(The quality if we used any other app like freaking capcut)

As for the physical technologies, all the stuff we used to film were from our partner. Gus, the goat, provided us with a tripod, bluetooth microphones, and a nice camera. The camera type was a Sony A6700, get it because 7 ate 6. Okay enough with the jokes. So, the microphones we used in our film are the hollyland's.  Then, the tripod that's old so we dont know the name. The tripod was very helpful because for the table scene we had to lower the camera.

Oh wait, let us not forget the Sd card that holds everything together, all the clips and audios that are going to be put on adobe premiere and sent to Cambridge.

CCR Question 3

                         CCR Question 3

At first, when we started filming, I learned how many times things have to be shot from every angle. By this, I mean that when having a certain script to say you have to say it all over again and film it in different angles.

Small light weight video camera for bicycle use?

I pretty much know a lot about production because I take a class called CBTV, which I learned a lot about stuff like this.

I also learned how hard it is to plan stuff. Me and my team had everything written down, the day we’re gonna go to call and plan. But along the way we faced some struggles where one of us couldn’t go or someone got sick. So we filmed it later than we thought and it took us about three hours to film the whole thing. Then after all this me and one of my partners had a competition so we couldn’t edit while so that also freaked with our schedule.

( we got second place tho)

Overall, I have to learn how to become a better planner. Maybe just Not Work with really busy people because I’m also really busy person myself and it’s hard to schedule things.

CCR Question 2

                                 CCR question 2

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

Well, first I had to think of the type of target audience we would have. Usually when it comes to action movies the main audience is men. They connect to the genre from them being seen as sporty and play rough. This helped us come up with the chasing scene. the last minutes of our opening includes the chase scene which brings back our audience and reels them in as a hook.

We also had nice colors and miss-en-scene which also keeps audience engaged. If the scene isn't nice, you gotta pay the price! But, we don't have top pay the price because we choose a place with colors popping out.

There still needs to be some color grading done, but you see the vision I hope.

Distribution.

The most helpful one would be posters and they would be sold to fans. Typically, the target audience of action movies are movie lovers. They hang up posters and collect merchandise. This way we kill two birds with one stone. People buy the posters both giving us money, but also promoting our movie to their friend or people who go into their room.

Kill Two Birds With One Stone by Quang Nguyen on Dribbble

We would have actors on the live shows like SNL and the tonight show with jimmy Fallon. SNL's and Jimmy Fallons target audience like comedy and our movie is also half comedy, so if the actors went it would promote our movie by encouraging large amounts of people to navigate from the shows to our film. Along with that, people would also be seeing our posts on TikTok and instagram, because those apps are used a lot. We would have cool and funny posts to promote both the action and comedy parts of the movie.
